Elixir Continued to be Recognized for Excellence in Pharmacy Benefits Information by National Committee for Quality Assurance (NCQA)

March 2, 2022 - Elixir, a wholly owned subsidiary of Rite Aid Corporation, today announced it has received re-certification for NCQA's Health Information Products (HIP) Certification for Pharmacy Benefits Information. NCQA is a private nonprofit organization dedicated to improving healthcare quality that accredits and certifies a wide range of healthcare organizations. Elixir is one of only three organizations to earn the HIP Certification for Pharmacy Benefits Information, which shows the organization's commitment to quality.

"Earning NCQA's HIP Certification demonstrates that an organization has expertise in gathering and disseminating healthcare information for health plan members," said Lisa Slattery, vice president, accreditation and recognition operations for NCQA.

The NCQA HIP Certification for Pharmacy Benefits Information is a quality assessment program that health plans can use to assess organizations that develop and provide content, tools and services addressed in pharmacy benefits. It establishes the quality and accuracy of pharmacy benefit information provided to eligible individuals. The re-certification process included evaluation of Elixir's management of various aspects of its data collection systems and operation, and the process it uses to continuously improve the services it provides. This includes review of the company's website content, member portals, customer care processes and member communications. This ensures members understand their pharmacy benefits.

Additionally, Elixir Pharmacy holds accreditations from URAC, the Accreditation Commission for Health Care (ACHC) and the National Association of Boards of Pharmacy^®(NABP^®).
